My youngest turned 3 in March!
Looking back I should have known Emma would be my wild child, doing everything on her time. A little backstory…I had my normal doctor appointment and after being a week late I asked if they could do a pregnancy test. I just knew it had to be positive. To my surprise, my blood work came back negative. Typically, a blood pregnancy test is pretty darn accurate, but I just knew it had to be wrong. Well a few days later I finally got my positive test!
There truly isn’t a dull moment with Emma. She is fearless, wild and sweet all at the same time. I love hearing her say “I love you mama” randomly throughout the day! If you know Emma, you know she is OBSESSED with Dora the Explorer, so naturally we had a Dora birthday party!
We celebrated with our family and friends and it was a lot of fun! We started the day by having all the kids decorate their own explorer hat with some stickers, then played a game of pin the map on Dora’s backpack. We were just about to do the piñata when Swiper came and stole the piñata! Each kid had their own backpack which included a map on where to find Swiper. The kids had to find matching stars, put back together the troll bridge and even rescue Diego’s animals! After finding Swiper they all got their turn to swing at the piñata and get some candy! I have to give credit to my sweet husband for dressing up in the Swiper costume that my Aunt made for him…best dad ever!
Weeks later Emma is still asking me “Mom, is my party over?”. So I’m guessing she had a lot of fun!
