Jonathan and Jane are celebrating turning 4! They both were so sweet and had such fun personalities! Before the session their mom had emailed me to let me know that it may be hard for me to get her twins to sit still or look and smile at the camera as they had Autism. I have worked with autistic children before, but not twins. Every parent with a small child knows the struggle of trying to get their child to sit still and smile…..it can be challenging! When ever I’m working with children I know it takes time for them to warm up to me (a complete stranger!) and feel comfortable following my directions. Jonathan and Jane were no different. I love to let kids be themselves and capture them in their element so when you look back at the photos you just see their personality shine through. Both Jonathan and Jane enjoyed looking at the back of my camera and seeing themselves and exploring my studio space.

Parents usually play a big role in helping during a session. Kelly (their mom) and her sister were a HUGE help! They pulled out all the stops….they had cell phones behind me playing each child’s favorite videos. Many of the smiles were thanks to them tickling the kids! The session was for sure a team effort, but then again it normally is!

I hope Jonathan and Jane enjoyed their session as much as I did!
